ALTENLOH BRINCK ADDS ROOFTOP ACCESSORY LINES

ERICO® CADDY and Marathon Roofing Products partner with TRUFAST

Bryan, OH (January 30, 2013) – ALTENLOH, BRINCK & CO. U.S., INC. (ABC U.S.) has announced the addition of two new rooftop accessory lines. ABC U.S. is now partnering with ERICO® International Corporation and Marathon Roofing Products to broaden its TRUFAST product offerings to the commercial roofing market.

Effective December 31, 2012, TRUFAST began selling and servicing ERICO® CADDY® PYRAMID Rooftop Pipe and Equipment Supports, which provide an easy method for supporting pipes, conduit and equipment. At the same time, TRUFAST began partnering with Marathon Roofing Products to offer rooftop drains for the first time under the TRUFAST name. New TRUFAST drain products include Aluminum and Copper Retrofit Roof Drains, PVC New Installation Roof Drains, and Cast Iron New Installation Roof Drains.

“The new partnerships have allowed us to broaden the breadth of our offerings,” said Don Levinsohn, VP Sales, TRUFAST. “We’re now a single, trusted source for all rooftop products. These additional products make us more meaningful to our distribution partners, and in some cases, our OEM partners.”

Like TRUFAST, both companies are headquartered in the U.S. and feature 100% American-made products. ERICO®, of Solon, OH, is a premier manufacturer of engineered products designed for diverse applications in the electrical, mechanical, commercial and industrial, rail and utility markets. It was founded in 1903. Marathon Roofing Products, founded in 1966, is one of the nation’s leading manufacturers of commercial roof drains, vents, paver supports, equipment and accessories. Its headquarters are in Orchard Park, NY.

“Both of these rooftop accessory product lines have strong features and benefits that we can take to the specification and consultant community,” noted Levinsohn.

“In return, we give Marathon and ERICO® a partner with an experienced national sales staff that is dedicated to doing business with the large national distributors. We have a network of seven regional managers, a technical sales staff, and some 40 independent representatives that work in concert with our regional management group. So it’s a true win-win for both partners,” he said.

According to Levinsohn, the partnerships give TRUFAST customers volume-buying incentives as well. “This gives our customers the opportunity to bundle and ship, not just fasteners, plates and adhesives, but also rooftop supports and drains to meet the free freight allowances. In addition, they can add the purchased dollars against any programs we might already have with those companies.”

ALTENLOH, BRINCK & CO. U.S., INC. is part of the ALTENLOH, BRINCK & CO. Group headquartered in Ennepetal, Germany. Founded in 1823, ALTENLOH, BRINCK & CO. is a global leader in the design and manufacturing of innovative fastening solutions for both the construction and automotive industries.

ALTENLOH, BRINCK & CO. ACQUIRES ES PRODUCTS

Broadens low density, low slope roof offerings for SE & SW markets

Bryan, OH (January 8, 2013) – ALTENLOH, BRINCK & CO. U.S., INC. (ABC U.S.) has announced the acquisition of ES Products, a specialty roof fastener company serving the low density, low slope roof deck market for nearly 60 years. The acquisition, effective December 31, 2012, allows ABC U.S. to broaden its TRUFAST roofing fastener offerings and provide a complete line of fastening solutions to the low slope roofing market.

“This gives us a seat at every table,” said Brian Roth, president and CEO of ABC U.S. “What drove the acquisition was ABC U.S.’s need to broaden our product offering – to offer a complete line of fastening solutions to the low slope roofing market. It’s a nice strategic fit.

“We’re proud to maintain and carry forward the excellent ES Products name and reputation,” he added.

Fred Hall, president of ES Products, sees the acquisition as a win-win for both companies, as well as their customers. “This acquisition provides a significant step forward for both companies in terms of product offerings and service,” he said. “Together, we can give our customers the convenience of one-stop shopping for all their fastening requirements.”

Founded in 1953, ES Products specializes in quality fastening systems that minimize installation costs while maximizing productivity. ES Products fasteners offer a quick, secure, cost-effective way to handle base sheet and rigid insulation attachments for lightweight insulating concrete, cementitious wood fiber, poured gypsum and gypsum plank installations. The products are sold primarily in the southeast and southwest portions of the U.S. where wind codes are more stringent.

“These are patented products,” noted Roth. “These are great solutions – quite frankly, the best solutions available for certain applications.”

According to Roth, the ES Products name will be retained by ABC U.S., and products will continue to be manufactured at the company’s Bristol, Rhode Island manufacturing facility in support of ABC U.S.’s commitment to 100% domestic manufacturing. ES Products’ sales office in Atlantic Beach, Florida will also be retained. Eventually, the new ES Products line will be integrated into the TRUFAST brand, which includes commercial roofing fasteners and accessories, SIP and nail base panel fasteners, and Dow roofing adhesives and sealants.

“Everyone here at ES Products is very excited about the acquisition,” said Mike Murphy, VP of Operations for ES Products. “We’re looking forward to growing with the Altenloh Brinck people. Combining our resources with theirs should be a great fit, and both companies should benefit greatly from the acquisition.”
